Our Story

We take snacks seriously.
So you don't have to.

BasicSnacks started in 2019 as a late-night Google Doc between three friends arguing about whether pretzels count as dinner. Today it's a full editorial publication covering recipes, nutrition, lunchbox strategy, and the science of the perfect crunch.

We test every recipe three times, photograph every dish in real daylight, and never recommend a snack we wouldn't eat straight from the bag at midnight.

What we believe

Four rules of the snack desk

Taste First

If it isn't delicious, no macro count can save it. Flavor is the whole point.

Real Testing

Every recipe is cooked in a real home kitchen at least three times before publishing.

No Snobbery

Gas-station chips and farmers-market granola get the same honest review.

Keep It Simple

Short ingredient lists, clear steps, zero filler. Your time is a snack too.
